This is a shield to be fitted to a Flight Motion Simulator (FMS) covered in blue Radar Absorbing Material (RAM).
The yoke of the FMS has very high rotational acceleration so the thin shield needs to be exceptionally strong, hence it is constructed in Carbon Fibre.
